Medical excellence is ensured through a cooperation with Hirslanden Clinic. Specialists from the Institute of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care have been providing their medical services since mid-March 2012 and guarantee the highest quality of medical care. Central to this is modern, state-of-the-art medicine that makes safe and uncomplicated transportation possible for patients during rescues, repatriation, or relocation, regardless of the situation. We exclusively employ specialists and senior physicians from the fields of anesthesiology and intensive care, all of whom have an additional professional qualification in emergency medicine.

The paramedics have training as EMTs and some have an additional qualification in nursing or in intensive care and anesthesia care. All employees in helicopter teams have also acquired a qualification as an HEMS Crew Member, which is an international standard for medical crew personnel. HEMS Crew Members assist the pilots with radio communication, navigation, and other aviation processes before take-off, during flight, and after landing. The maintenance and promotion of high personnel training standards is achieved through regular training and further education measures under the direction of the Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Reto Stocker, Director of the Institute of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Hirslanden Clinic. In 2013, for example, an ACLS training course and a PHTLS course were carried out.
